“Posed” photos: viewers can instantly detect the set-up aspects.
Deception is unlikely, so the TTG-IC label is usually not necessary.
“Staged” photos: viewers cannot instantly detect the set-up aspects.
Deception is likely, so the TTG-IC label is required to meet P8.
• Trusted news providers do not publish “staged” photographs in news contexts, so no examples can be shown here...
. . . but TTG isn’t only for news photos (see question #10).
• Thus “staged” photos can qualify as TTG if they fully meet the Trust Test (and are labeled TTG-IC as per P8).
