Flash
The term “flash” is used on this website to refer to any device that produces a short burst of light (including flashes, speedlights, and strobes) and also to describe a brief burst of light.
Most normal flash photos are eligible to qualify as TTG (flash is a staple in news and reportage photography).
What flash photos are disqualified by TTG?
• If during the exposure there is movement in the scene and multiple flash bursts are used,
and/or
•
if during the exposure the subject is illuminated by light sources coming from different angles at different times,
then the image will not meet P4 and would not qualify as TTG.
See the Guide to making flash photos for details.
